Ballast water management of international vessels
As vessels unload their cargo they pump seawater into ballast tanks to provide stability to the vessel and allow it to operate safety. Many different types of marine plants and animals can be transported in ballast water.
Biofouling management of international vessels
The term 'biofouling' refers to the accumulation of living micro-organisms, plants and animals on surfaces that are submerged in, or exposed to, the marine environment.
Marine domestic pathway management
